Believing that life is about experiences and connections, we decided in 2014 to turn a few Lake Tahoe projects into an extended regional travel assignment. With a small gear pack, including a fantastic new motion control device by Syrp, essentials packed into our wagon, an Airbnb account, and, of course, a French press, we embarked on our first official venture as nomads into Northern California’s stunning landscapes.

It’s fascinating how we often think we need to travel thousands of miles to see the world’s most beautiful places. But, having grown up in Utah and collected quite a few passport stamps, I can confidently say that Northern California offers some of the richest and most breathtaking landscapes I’ve ever encountered.
